DIY Father’s Day Gifts

1. I Love You This Much

Daddy will be grinning from ear to ear when he sees how much love your children pour into these DIY Father’s Day Gifts. Watch as your toddler opens up the hands to show how much they love him and share the joy together on this special day.

What You Will Need:

Directions:

  1. Paint your child’s hands one by one and press them down on the paper. (I recommend washing one hand off before painting another)
  2. Optional: Glue another layer of card stock to the back of the hand prints to make more sturdy.
  3. Cut 4 strips of paper and glue the ends together for each “arm”. (2 strips total or the length of their arms).
  4. Fold the strips of papers back and forth to make spring like “arms”.
  5. Glue one end of the “arm” to the back of the heart and the other to the back of the hand, repeat on the other side. That’s it!

2. Salt Dough Hand Prints

These salt dough hand prints can be made as a gift for a lot of occasions and it’s a perfect one to add to my list of DIY Fathers Day Gifts. This gift ideas is great because it only requires 3 ingredients and the children love helping make it as well.

What Yoou Will Need:

  • 1 Cup Salt
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 3/4 Cups Water

Direcrions

  1. Set oven to 200 degrees and combine the ingredients until it’s a dough like texture.
  2. Separate into two dough balls and flatten them evenly.
  3. Put them on a baking sheet so they are ready to go into the oven.
  4. Have your children press there hands down on the dough to leave a print.
  5. Allow them bake for two – two and a half hours.
  6. Let them dry completely before painting them. Enjoy!

3. 10 Things We Love About Dad

This idea came from Pinterest and I was excited to do it this year. Writing ten things your children love about dad is personal and wrapping it up in a bow makes it so fun to open over and over.

What You Will Need:

Directions:

  1. (Optional) Paint the popsicle sticks
  2. Write 10 things your child loves about daddy.
  3. Glue the popsicle sticks on the ribbon (Make sure the are all lined up together and hot glue them in a line one by one).

4. Heart Hands “We Love You”

A really simple DIY gift for daddy, to show how much you care. Using your hands to form the shape of a heart will have daddy feeling so special.

What You Will Need:

Directions:

  1. Paint one pair of hands and set to dry.
  2. Repeat step one for each child (I used my own hands in this too).
  3. Add letters or write on the canvas “We and You”.

5. I love You To The Moon And Back

The saying “I love you to the moon and back” is always fun to add to a special gift and exactly how my boys feel about their dad. I took their feet and painted them and then added these cute little shapes to make their feet look like rockets.

What You Will Need:

  • Paper or Card Stock
  • Cutouts of rocket shapes and moon and Letters
  • Glue

Directions: Glue all the pieces on the paper after their footprint dries.
