Taste Safe Play-Doh

August 27, 2019

We all know our toddlers will stick literally everting in their mouths and finding activities that are safe for your little ones may be difficult sometimes. This taste safe play-doh recipe is a perfect activity you can prepare at home with only 3 ingredients. Having activities that are fast and easy to prepare are great ways to redirect your kids and have fun doing it.

How Do I Make Taste-Safe Play-Doh

With three ingredients to work with, I’d say this play-dough turned out awesome. I only used salt, flour, and water. How easy is that? We had a lot extra so I wrapped up small amounts in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for the next day. Or with extra, you can make something out of them and bake them in the oven for another activity.

Finding limited ingredients, or limited materials for quick projects is the way to go when you’re a SAHM and trying to redirect your kids. My two year, Theodore, helped me mix the ingredients together and then helped me knead the dough, and that was it! Overall this taste safe play-dough is a win!

Why “Taste Safe”?

As you can see both my boys enjoy the texture of the play-dough and Theodore liked using the number cut-outs I gave him. I say this is “taste safe” because although the ingredients are safe to ingest, you don’t want your kids making a snack out of it.
