Bug Sensory Bin -

BUGS!! My toddler is all about bugs right now! Every time he see’s a bug he gets so excited running around yelling “BUG, BEE, SPIDER, FLY!” Really any bug name he knows right now he will yell about it. It was only fitting to put together a bug sensory bin today. I’m doing a whole bug theme this week and I’m loving all the ideas I’m coming up with for them.

Where To Find The Materials For This Sensory Bin

I got all my materials mostly from the Dollar Tree and Walmart. I don’t like to spend a lot of money if I don’t have too (especially on kid’s activities) and you can find a lot of fun craft materials at the Dollar Tree. You can also find some awesome giant bug collection from Amazon.

Join In The Fun With Your Children

I think I had just as much fun as my two-year-old did with this sensory play. Looking through the magnifying glass, searching through the pebbles and rocks for bugs, using the pinching tool and net to catch the bugs. There are so many sensory benefits to this activity as well as language as we talked about the different types of bugs and how to say them.

Child Led play

Follow your child’s instincts and interests and see where they lead you. As parents, we see our child’s interests change and it’s fun to incorporate their current favorite thing is in the activities you plan because when a child is having fun they are more interested in learning.
