Montessori Halloween Sorting Activity

October 26, 2020

Working on fine motor skills at a young age helps master those hand muscles needed for handwriting as your child gets to school. This Halloween sorting activity helps work on those fine motor skills and is also a fun way to work on color recognition. If you apply the Montessori learning method at home, this is a fantastic activity to add to your shelf life.

Montessori At Home

For those who are familiar with the Montessori learning method and applying it in your own home, you know that a prepared environment is key. Adding work to the shelves that allow your child to master the skills they are working on sets them up for success. Each child has their own pace of learning and as a Montessori parent, it’s our job to provide activities and work that is challenging but also achievable. Children have a natural desire to learn and when we prepare activities and work that they can master we further their love for learning. You will notice that your child will feel proud of what they accomplish when we provide the necessary age-appropriate work.
